Manual Call Point Installation Requirements
In fire alarm system, the manual call point (MCP) is an important device that sends input to the system and notifies upcoming dangers. When installing a manual call point, it is important to consider the following requirements:

1.manual call point (MCP) Installation Distance
The distance from any position in a fire compartment to the nearest manual call point should not be further than 30m. The manual call point needs to be installed in the entrances and exits of public places and has to be obvious and easy to reach.
2.MCP Installation Height
The manual call point should be installed at a height of 1.3 to 1.5m from its bottom to the ground.
3.MCP Installation Position
The manual call point should be installed firmly and shouldn’t be tilted.
4.MCP External Wire
The manual call point’s external wire should have a margin of no less than 10cm. And in its port, there should be an obvious sign.
5.MCP Protective Cover
For buildings where the accidental triggering of fire alarm notification would be costly, a manual call point cover is recommended to prevent misuse.
6.MCP Special Environment
For places where the weather will cause dust & water penetration into the manual call point, a weatherproof selection is suggested. For chemical plants, refineries or other explosion-prone environments, an explosion-proof manual call point would be a suitable choice.

ASENWARE offers manual call points that have different reset types: the type that is reset by keys and the type that is reset by replacing its outer glass, in order to work with different fire alarm systems and environments.
